building nøkternt
a couple of months ago i built nøkternt.no, mostly for myself.
i wanted a calmer way to follow norwegian news. too many headlines are clickbait or slop, written to make me feel something before i even know what happened. i don’t want someone else’s beliefs baked into how i read the news.
nøkternt uses ai to group the coverage and rewrite it as neutrally as possible, while keeping the original sources close by. models have their own biases, so it is not perfect. i still think it is better than starting with a headline designed to influence me.
it is free, has picked up a few users, and is now my main way of staying up to date with norwegian news. take a look or sign up.
